Mika Brzezinski Shares Glimpse of Christmas Decor in Home

Morning Joe’s Mika Brzezinski is enjoying time at home for the holidays! The Morning Joe cohost shared some playful photos of one of her cats on her Instagram account, giving fans a rare look inside of her house.

“Meatball prefers his table top photo shoots to being stuck outside with the the scary Xmas blow ups! #perfection #purrrrfect #meatball #rescuesarethebest,” Mika, 57, captioned the post on Sunday, December 21, featuring snapshots of her cat.

In the first two pictures featured in the set, Meatball lounged on the wooden dining room table while Mika took photos of him. A vase of red flowers could be seen in the background as well as light-colored curtains and the outdoor patio.

In the next two photos, she stood inside of her home, capturing pictures of Meatball as he was outside with some of the festive Christmas inflatables that the family placed ahead of the holiday.

There was an adorable dinosaur inflatable holding a candy cane and a Santa Claus inflatable leaning on a candy cane. However, Meatball did not look too happy to be outside among all of the holiday decorations. The cat perched on top of an outdoor seat as Mika looked at him from the window.

“My whole mood right now,” one person commented on the post, and another wrote, “Meatball is not wrong.”

Mika, who shares her home with husband Joe Scarborough, is an animal lover who has multiple pets. She’s always documenting the adventures of her furry friends in photos shared on Instagram.

This summer, Mika shared some snapshots of her life at home with Joe, 61, and their pets. “No shoes on the bed!! #catsrule,” Mika captioned a June 23 picture of Joe sitting in their bed with the cats. Other pictures showed of more of the decor in their bedroom, which featured striped wallpaper and a neutral-colored bedspread.

In addition to her home full of pets, Mika is a mom to daughters Emilie and Carlie Hoffer, whom she welcomed during her marriage to ex-husband Jim Hoffer. They were married from 1993 to 2016.

Having a love for animals has always been a huge part of Mika’s life. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the TV host reflected on how her cats were helping her get through unprecedented times during lockdown.

“Animals have always been a big part of my life and have helped my family get through difficult times,” she told MSNBC in July 2020. “During the pandemic, I adopted a Maine Coon kitten named Spaghetti (who is now best friends with our other Maine Coon, aptly named Meatball).”

“He’s really playful and funny,” she continued. “Even stopping for a few minutes in the day to play and kiss Spaghetti feels like a real break. Spaghetti has helped bring my family together. We may not all agree on how to get through this pandemic – but we all agree on Spaghetti.”
