— Spooky season is just around the corner and based on a handful of yards in Willmar and surrounding communities, upcoming trick-or-treating festivities are sure to be a fright for costumed super heroes, princesses and gruesome ghouls cruising the streets this coming Monday evening on Halloween.

Willmar Haunted House: Oct. 29, 7 to 10 p.m., 800 Campbell Ave. N.W., Willmar. $12. The theme of the house is “Wrong Turn: A Haunted House.”

Glenwood Haunted House: Oct. 29 and 31, 7 to 10 p.m., 105 3rd Ave. N.E., basement of Central Square, Glenwood. Admission $20, Fright Night is back with the ghouls that haunt the labyrinth of the old high school.

WPL Mask making contest: Oct. 29, vote on your favorite paper-mache mask at the Willmar Public Library.

Holmstrom Haunt: Oct. 29-31, New London Little Theatre; CarnEVIL Haunted House, “Full Scare hours” 5 to 10 p.m. Oct. 29; “Low scare for our tiniest sideshows” 3 to 6 p.m. Oct. 30-31; adults $12, 11 and under $6.

Pumpkin Patch Party: Oct. 29, 9 to 11 a.m., MACCRAY Elementary School for children birth to 5th grade and their parents.

Halloween Fun: Oct. 29, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Cash Wise in Willmar, kids 12 and under can trick or treat in each department while supplies last, guess the weight of the pumpkin and the candy in the candy jar and enjoy a hot dog, beverage and chips for $2 while supplies last.

Cub Kids Halloween: Oct. 29, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., trick or treat throughout the store, kids encouraged to wear costumes and random costume prizes will be given, paper pumpkin decorating for kids.
