Decorate With Bookshelves

If you want your house to be inviting, consider giving it a personable ambiance and sophisticated touch. This can be done by adding different types of blocks, such as bookshelves or signs around your house. Bookshelves will seem to give your house a cultured and accomplished vibe that uplifts the general atmosphere of your house.

Of course, they are also great in enchantment rooms and study rooms. With customizable bookshelf density, you can create a unique room that has an air of sophistication!

11

Use A Variety Of Lights

Replacing all torches in your house with fancy lights is a simple way to take your decorating to the next level. Glowstone blocks glisten your space with a soft golden light, making it appear much more elegant. If you happen to have glowstone blocks and redstone dust, you can craft redstone lamps.

There are also unique blocks that provide light such as Froglights, candles, End Rods, and even campfires. Don’t be afraid to really mix and match the lighting options!

Beautify Your Home With Flowers & Greenery

Flowers make any space look more colorful and refreshed. One of the wonderful uses of flowers in this game is to liven up interior and exterior spaces. Flowers come in many different colors, types, and sizes. Most can be placed into small clay pots which are very easy to craft.

They look great on window sills, shelves, makeshift nightstands, tables as centerpieces, and more. You can also use leaves, azalea bushes, and various saplings to really green-ify your house.

Use Paintings As Decoration

A very easy way to add a touch of charm to your home would be by adding paintings in various rooms around your home. There are several Minecraft paintings to choose from; some pictures are very serene looking, while others are more dark and ominous.

Tint Your House With Colorful Glass

An eccentric way to beautify your Minecraft house would be by adding colored glass. Just think about it, you can get pretty creative with this! You can make all the windows of your house your favorite color, or you can switch it up and alternate different colors. Perhaps each room has its own window color? I mean there are a lot of choices to be made here!

You and your visitors will be inspired when looking at your house. There’s no doubt your place will stand out and look quite unique compared to the rest of them.

7

Make A Modern And Functional Kitchen

An impressive functional kitchen will surely awe you and your guests. How about placing a modern-looking fridge that can dispense food at the click of a button? This can be easily made by laying down an iron block on top of a dispenser and then placing a button on the side of the iron block.

All there is left to do is place an iron door in front of the dispenser, fill the dispenser with food, and voila, you got yourself a fridge! Of course, you should add a large table, several chairs, multiple furnaces, and even a sink to make your kitchen come to life.

You can make a fantasy-version of a kitchen that functions as a place to make potions as well!

6

Create A Grand Bedroom

The bedroom is the most personal and private area of your home, which is why you should adorn this space with pride. One great way to establish a grand bedroom is to simply push two beds together.

For a more complete look, you can also make a headboard that frames both beds. For example, with some strategically placed slabs, stairs, and barrels, you can have a cozy little headboard that looks pretty realistic.

5

Use Colored Carpets & Moss

If you want to make your house even more colorful try adding colored carpets. They are quite simple to make, as they only require wool and dye. Plus, they can make you feel happy and brighten up your mood.

If your house is looking a bit messy, consider sticking to a specific color palette. This can help bring some cohesion to your build. You can use similar colors in individual rooms, or extend this to the entire house.

There are a lot of block colors in Minecraft, so don’t be afraid to think outside the box. To get a sense of a color palette, we also suggest laying out your blocks on the ground to see how they work together. If they look good, you can move forward to building.

3

Look At Minecraft Houses On YouTube

The YouTube Minecraft community is absolutely bursting with creativity, and you can use this to your advantage! Rather than making things up as you go, consider looking into some examples from some great interior decorators.

For example, one YouTuber that is known for his phenomenal interior and exterior building is BdoubleO100. This YouTuber is a member of Hermitcraft, where you can frequently see his unique builds in full display.

2

Consider Building On A Smaller Scale

Don’t know what to do with all the empty space in your build? Rather than filling in the space, we suggest building on a smaller scale. This will give you a more cozy feeling, as well as less pressure to fill up a build.

While building on a smaller scale, you won’t have to worry about grand pieces to create; stick to simple items, such as the humble slab with a sign on the back to look like a low sofa chair.

1

Use A Variety Of Blocks

Lastly, try to use a variety of blocks. Earlier, we mentioned sticking to a color palette so this may seem a bit hypocritical, but by this, we mean staying within the color palette but including more themed blocks.

For example, not everything has to be a square block. Consider adding slabs, ladders, fences, or other miscellaneous blocks that can create some detail. Who knows, the tripwire hook may make the perfect decoration for you!
